The Lunatic Fringe is a 8hr and 3hr Solo and Duo Team event. This is afun event open to anyone with a mountain bike. But you better do some training!Beginners, novices, veterans and elite riders are all welcome to come out to the north eastern NSW community and enjoy the weekend of riding/racing and entertainment.
Emu creek is a beautiful family friendly location, with swings and a bmx track for the kids as well as swimming holes and short walks from the campgrounds to catch all the Mountain bike racing action (budding family photographers take note).

Course:
11.9k course (35 - 45 minute approx). The Emu Creek Lunatic fringe has more single track than any of our other events. Its starts at the Gp Moto Cross track and uses a flowing 6k single track in a new forest (think African savanah) before returning to the excellent Enduro X trail single track with bermed corners mini climbs and descents. This new course is suited to all riders. Trail surface is a combination fast clay (fire roads and Moto X track), sandy/fast hard clay/rocky sections (Enduro Moto X track). 85% Single track, 10% Fire road.

Please Note: Its recommended that allcompetitors must be on site by 9.45am. If you arrive after the start of the events please drive at 10kph and be aware of riders on the road. The entrance road is part of the course this year. Riders Leaving after the 3hr are asked to pay attention and giveway to all riders when exiting the property. Please note: NO LIGHTS NEEDED! Arrival times/Camping: Everyone is welcome to come to Emu creek on friday (March 9th). (The earlier you arrive the better camp spot you will get)
Registration: The registration tent opens on Friday at 3pm (If we are around :) and not still doing last minute work on the course)
Prizes: up to $3000 in prizes Top 3 in each category. Prize giving will be 30 minutes after the finish of each event. 3hr at 2.30pm 8hr at 7.30pm
Safety/Support: Every participant must wear a helmet, ride a safe bicycle, carry a spare/tools and obey all rules, marshals and organizers instructions. Medical personnel will be on hand for rider support. We count on you to ride in a safe manner. Riders are responsible for their own Insurance/medical coverage.
Non riders/Supporter fees: Kids 3+ $5/Adults (daily) Adults $17 (2 days plus camping) (NON Ridering supporters must sign in and pay the Emu Creek entrance fee when arriving. Children under 3 free )
Entry fees: Solo (3hr) $65 (includes Maxxis Tube and goodies)
Duo (3hr) $120 ($60 each) (includes Maxxis Tube and goodies)
