Welcome to the 4th annual Misty Mountain Marathon (this event was formally know as the Mebbin Springs MTB Enduro). The New Course and Location at Interaction was terrific in 2011 so we are sticking with it. This is a fun and challenging event open to anyone with a mountain bike.
But you better do some training! Beginners, novices, veterans and elite riders are all invited to come out and enjoy a great day of riding/racing. Solo and 2 Person Team category events.
Please note this race is not on fathers day (its the day before Fathers day)


Race inside a volcano! The Misty Mountain MTB Marathon (Mebbin springs) private property is inside the magnificent Wollumbin (Mt Warning) volcanic caldera. This stunning area encompasses the massive 20 million year old shield volcano with surrounding views of the outer rim in every direction. From this area you can clearly see the impressive 600m high crater wall reaching up into the Border Ranges National Park.

The Misty Mountain Marathon will start at the Interaction Outdoor pursuit centre area just 1.5hrs south of the Gold Coast/Brisbane. 

Accommodation Options:
Camp over Interaction Outdoor pursuit centre campground before the race, its a beautiful campground. No need to book, just pay when you show up at registration/number pick up.

Interaction Outdoor pursuit centre campground facilities include:
Approx 150 camp sites (Grassy spots)
Toilets , BBQ Cooking (gas and wood) ,Fire places
Bring your own drinking water.
Camping Fees: $10  (per adult/15 years + )

Course details: 
This is a Marathon event on a enduro style format. The course is a 20k loop which have a combination of Dirt roads, Fire trails, 4WD trail, and 9k of Single track. Lots of short climbs and descents this course will put a big grin on your face. Encompassing the amazing Mebbin Springs/Interaction private property (3000 acres).

60k does 3 laps
40k does 2 laps
20k does 1 lap

Trail surface is fast (when its dry) Clay hard pack. Fast ,fun flowing climbs/descents.

Open to riders 12yrs and above. (Its recommended that 12year olds ride the 20k)

2 Person Teams:
This is a new category in this event. This is not a relay. Both riders ride the whole course together. Team times and prizes are based on the cumlative times of both riders. Team entry fees are $10 less per person than solos.

Arrival Times:
If your camping please arrive saturday before 10pm. (The earlier you arrive the better camp spot you will get). If your arriving race day get to registration an hour before your start. Registration closes at 8.30am.

Catered Lunch/race numbers: 
All entered riders receive a lunch as part of your entry. Lunch will be served from 1pm, followed by the prize giving at 2.30pm. Your RACE NUMBER is your lunch ticket to be returned.  (We re-use them, thanks).

Solo 40km Marathon: $75 (includes Maxxis Tube and after race lunch/drink and goodies)
